VINYASA WITH RELAXATION
“Vinyasa” means linking breath with movement. Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga “. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike. Each class ends with relaxation.
RISE AND SHINE
There's no better way to start your day! Rise and Shine Yoga with Andrea is a 45-minute class which wakes up your body and stretches your body and mind to start the day. Specific postures and practices to build energy include Sun Salutations, backbends and twists.
HATHA
Hatha yoga is the branch of yoga that typically comes to mind when you think of yoga in general terms. The practice involves breath, body, and mind. This hour-long class focusses on breathing, yoga poses, and relaxation.

GENTLE
Like other styles of yoga, gentle yoga relieves stress, increases flexibility, calms the mind, and strengthens the body. Gentle yoga, in particular, can be relaxing and help enhance range of motion. It is done for the joy of stretching and stillness of mind, not for the calories burned. Gentle or slow Yoga is designed to be accessible to anyone, irrespective of any limitation. Gentle Yoga with Andrea encourages us to be kind to ourselves and our bodies.
Overall, gentle Yoga suits almost everyone, whatever the limitations.
RELAX AND UNWIND
Breath in, breath out. Take this time for your mind and body to relax and unwind midweek. This class will help you sleep better than a cup of sleepytime tea.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Modified yoga classes are available to target specific concerns. Andrea uses Chair yoga with some seniors or people with mobility issues. Her clients include people who have been in motor vehicle accidents or suffering with health issues such as fibromyalgia or anxiety. The poses, or asanas, are often adaptations of modern yoga poses. Andrea will start with a consultation to determine your personal needs so that she can individualize a program specific for you.
